I think we can often forget, amidst the trials and tribulations of our day to day lives, how fortunately we truly are.  If you’re reading this, right now, you are among the 21% of the world that has accessed the internet this year.  You are among the 66% of the world population that exists on more than $2 per day.

It’s so easy to forget how inconsequential our small issues are in the grand scheme of things.  How often do you stop to think about how fortunate you truly are?  How often do you stop to consciously appreciate the people and things in your life that make it wonderful?  I had a great exercise suggested to me by a great friend a couple years back – take the time daily to stop and appreciate.  That’s it.  Make a list of the 10 people, events or objects that have impacted your life in a positive way today.  And if you want to take it one step further – call or email one of those people off your list and let them know that they have made your day.  We don’t compliment each other enough on the great things we do.  Tell someone they've made your day and chances are, you will end up making theirs.  Be great.  Be grateful.  Be Great-ful.
